Gonzalo Ruiz Trejo, born February 20, 1940 in Mexico, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024 in Chicago. Beloved husband of 61 years to Teresita Ruiz. Loving father of Gonzalo Ruiz Jr CFD (Deyanira Ruiz), Elvia Torres Cook County States Attorney Investigaor (Jose Torres Jr), Francisco Ruiz Cook County Sheriffs Police (Erika Mota), and Rosita Ortiz MEd, MA (Gerardo Ortiz). Dear grandpa of Trinidad Ruiz, Benjamin Ruiz, Isabella Ruiz, Nikole Torres (Pedro Morales III), Omi Torres (Erin Feldman), Jazmin Sorkin Ruiz (Erik Sorkin), Jocelyn Ruiz, Aide Robles, and Jaiden Ruiz. Cherished great grandpa of Zo Imani Morales. Gonzalo was a passionate fan of Chivas Soccer. 

Funeral Friday, April 26, 2024 at Maternity BVM Church, 3647 W North Avenue, Chicago IL. Funeral Mass 10:00am. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
