Earline Fishburne was born September 3, 1927, and went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2023. Earline had many names. She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and Friend who was best known as "Honey." At 95 years of age, Earline lived a long, love-filled life. In her earlier years, she worked at a publishing company, for a hospital, and as a teacher's aide. She was a beloved member of the Park Forest Church of Christ for over 40 years. Earline contributed to her community by serving as a Sunday School Teacher and volunteering for the Associated Women of Shultz Lewis. Earline also attended the Harvey Church of Christ, where she was a Secretary, and she was a dear member of the Maypole Avenue Church of Christ. The relationships she cultivated over the years lasted for her lifetime and continue to bless her family. "Honey" had many hobbies. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, creating artwork from her puzzles, and playing board games with the intent to win, even against a 4-year-old. Earline was also an avid reader, talented seamstress, and she had a unique gift for knowing what plants needed to flourish. She enjoyed the sunshine, being covered in blankets gifted by loved ones, inviting people into her home, and joking with her favorite son-in-law. Earline loved watching the sunsets with her daughter, inviting her grandchildren to sit and talk with her, eating homemade treats, and watching deer roam in the backyard. Most of all, she enjoyed watching her family grow. Earline was the daughter of Lula Mae Allen-Pugh and Ernest Sylvester Pugh. She was a loving sister to Christine Crawford, Delores Peterson, Ernest Maurice Pugh, and Micheal Pugh. Earline was the last surviving member of her immediate family, but her legacy continues to thrive in the bonds of love, which have created a family connected by deep affection, laughter, and cherished memories. "Honey" was the beloved wife of the late Timothy Johnson Fishburne and the loving mother of George Earl Austin, Norman Austin, husband of the late (Gloria), Dorian Austin (Edna), Timothy J. Fishburne (Ilda), and Donna Marie Shields, wife of the late (Chris). Grandma Honey was loved and cherished by her many grandchildren; Michelle, Constance, Lori, Dawn, George, the late Gary, Kelli, Nona, Nia, Nagea, Norel, Joy, Christopher, Crystal, the late Sierra, and Sherie. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother. Earline "Honey" Fishburne will be missed by many, but her memory endures in the hearts of all who love her.
