Nettie Joyce Strouse, 89, of Highland, IN died Monday April 28th at home. She was born January 26, 1936 in Tullahoma, TN and resided in Highland since 2004. Mrs. Strouse drove a school bus for the Matteson, IL school district for 25 years. Also, she was a member of First Christian Church of Lansing, IL for 18 years. Nettie was skilled in arts and crafts as her hobbies.

She is survived by her son Terry Strouse (Tanya) of Highland, brother Thomas McPheron (Gail) of Crown Point, IN, sister Anita Gervase of Alsip, IL, nephews Joe Gervase and John Gervase (Lisa), nieces Kelly Maluchnik (Dave) and Heather Stefanovich (Steve). Many great nephews and nieces. Grandchildren Michael Strouse (Jordan), Tiffany Hufnagle (Kenny), Christina Gutierrez (Junie), Daniel Kasper, many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Strouse in 2003, son Jerry Strouse in 1995, her parents, two brothers and three in laws.

Services will be held at 10:30am Saturday May 3nd, 2025, at Skyline Funeral Home, Memorial Park & Crematory at 24800 S Governors Hwy, Monee, IL 60449, Pastor William Lyons officiating. Burial will also be at Skyline Funeral Home, Memorial Park & Crematory in Monee, IL.

Visittaion will be held from 4p -8p on Friday, May 2nd, 2025 at the Skyline Memorial Park Chapel.
