Zachary Bernard Hausner

Bearded man wearing a backward cap and backpack outdoors near trees.

Zachary Bernard Hausner

January 25, 1987 - March 13, 2026

Zachary Bernard Hausner, born January 25, 1987, passed away on March 13, 2026, in Clarendon Hills. Zachary, known affectionately as a big guy with an even bigger heart, lived his life with boundless enthusiasm and generosity.

Zachary approached each day as a new adventure and relished every opportunity to embrace life to the fullest. He loved to entertain, relishing the chance to gather people together and take joy in their happiness. His remarkable ability to connect with others was matched by a caring nature and attentive ear—Zachary genuinely listened because he always wanted to help.

A graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Zachary took great pride in furthering his education. Among his greatest achievements was serving as a devoted caregiver to his father, a role he fulfilled with steadfast love and dedication.

Zachary’s interests were as expansive as his spirit. He loved camping trips, sharing time with friends and family, cheering on his favorite sports teams, cooking up feasts, traveling and exploring new places, attending concerts, and unwinding with video games. His zest for life could always be seen in his desire to experience all the world had to offer and to include those he cared for on the journey.

Zachary is survived by his loving family: his sisters Melissa (40), Sarah (33), and Cora (30); his brothers Marty (37) and Jason (48); his father Martin (69) and his mother Therese (65). He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and remembered for his genuine kindness, infectious spirit, and unwavering support.

A celebration of Zachary’s life will be held on Friday March 20th, 2026 from 3-8pm at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home located at 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, IL. 60465.

From the family, they would like to say thank you all for the kind words and prayers over these few days, it is a very difficult time and we ask that you keep us in your prayers.
